Stainless 201 Pipe is a chromium nickel alloy. Compared with Type 304, it has higher manganese and nitrogen content and lower nickel content. This element combination reduces the cost, improves the mechanical strength, and makes the work hardening speed of the alloy faster than that of Type 304. The corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of the material are slightly lower than those of Type 304.
How 201 stainless steel is processed
It can be processed in a variety of ways: metal processing plants and manufacturers stamping, forming, bending, cutting and welding 201 alloy pipes to produce various parts.Cold working will increase strength and hardness, so it may cause its springback to exceed that of Type 304, because its toughness and formability are lower than that of Type 304.
