Recently, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration (National Standardization Administration Committee) issued an announcement that the national standard "Stainless Steel Precision Foil", drafted under the auspices of Shanxi TISCO Stainless Steel Co.
This standard makes a clear definition of stainless steel precision foil (i.e. stainless steel cold-rolled steel strip with a thickness of not more than 0.05mm), and specifies the classification, size, shape and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certification of stainless steel precision foil and other detailed technical content, which is numbered GB/T 41608-2022 and will be officially implemented on February 1, 2023. It will be officially implemented on February 1, 2023.
In recent years, the market for stainless steel precision foil is growing rapidly, especially in the OLED flexible display, new energy vehicle battery cladding materials and other high-end areas are in short supply. However, the procurement needs of users in various downstream industries for such materials are often corporate standards or inter-company technical agreements. In order to regulate this emerging field market as early as possible and promote the high-quality development of the entire industry chain, TISCO used years of experience in hosting national standards in the field of stainless steel and actively applied to the National Standardization Administration Committee for the establishment of the project. After nearly three years of efforts, the standard preparation team visited the relevant industry institutes, enterprises and downstream users, and constantly listened to opinions, and finally formed a perfect standard content, and passed the validation at last year's validation meeting. The release of this standard ended the history of no national standards in the field of stainless steel precision foil in China.
In order to further enhance the influence of TISCO in the international market, the standard preparation team will actively promote the release of the foreign language version of the standard, and at the appropriate time to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) to put forward effective proposals, and actively promote the establishment of international standards for stainless steel precision foil.
