Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe have no longitudinal joints or welds. They are produced by piercing solid round billets and leaving hollow seamless pipes.
Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe begin with a solid cylindrical mass of steel called a billet. While still hot, the mandrel passes the billet through the center. The next step is to roll and stretch hollow billets. The billets are accurately rolled and stretched to the length, diameter and wall thickness specified in the customer's order.
Some Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe harden during manufacturing, so no heat treatment is required after manufacturing. Others do need heat treatment. Please refer to the specification of the seamless pipe type you are considering to see if it needs heat treatment.
