At 14:29 on August 11, 2022, the No. 2 converter in the North District of the No. 2 Steelmaking Plant conducted the first hot test run for automatic tapping, achieving a successful hot test run. The success of this hot test indicates that TISCO has mastered the converter automatic tapping technology, which has laid a solid foundation for realizing the intelligentization of the whole process of converter steelmaking.
Converter automatic tapping is a functional application project that covers image recognition, algorithm optimization, multi-equipment collaborative control, multi-specialized cooperation, and requires extremely high system reliability and safety. The main goal is to tap the converter according to the process requirements. All related equipment (including converter body, steel car, ladle bottom blowing, alloy chute, sliding plate slag blocking mechanism, etc.) are precisely controlled, so as to realize unmanned intervention in the whole process of tapping.
With the joint efforts of the project team members, in just 70 days, from equipment installation, commissioning, single-unit test run to final hot test run, it has successfully solved the problems of tapping image stability, precise control of steel car position, steel car and furnace Problems such as the fitting relationship of the tilting angle have made positive contributions to promoting the intelligentization of TISCO's converters and reducing on-site "3D" positions, and have taken a new step in the implementation of China Baowu's "Four Uniforms" smart manufacturing action.
