According to Indian media on April 15, the three-day global stainless steel Expo 2022 (GSSE) opened at the jio world center in Mumbai on Tuesday. This is the first stainless steel event organized in the world to promote the interests of the stainless steel industry. More than 500 companies from all over the world participated in the event.
The Expo was opened by rasika chaube, Deputy Minister of the joint Ministry of iron and steel of India, and attended by MD abhyuday Jindal of India JinDaLai Stainless Steel Co., Ltd., KK pahuja, chairman of the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association, and Sanjeev Taneja, executive director of Saleem steel plant of sail. The conference also released the 2047 vision document.
The official instructed industry participants to take measures to make India a net exporter. It also said that the Ministry of iron and steel was taking several measures to increase the use of steel and stainless steel in the country.
According to the 2047 vision document, due to the low base, stable macroeconomic environment and normalization of government expenditure, the demand for stainless steel is expected to increase by 19.5% to 21% in fy2022, reaching 37-39 million tons.
According to industrialist abhyuday Jindal, the Department has taken various measures to promote the steel industry, such as the introduction of the 2017 national steel policy, which focuses on waste recycling, quality control orders, etc. He went on to say that the steel industry expected the Ministry of steel to continue to support the realization of the stainless steel vision in 2047.
The Indian stainless steel industry has sufficient capacity. KK pahuja said that the stainless steel industry is committed to playing a role in national construction and providing sustainable solutions for all sectors.
