Hot rolled plate
Hot rolled steel plate and strip, commonly known as hot plate, is usually rolled and written as a bar, such as hot-rolled plate, but all refer to the same kind of hot-rolled plate. It refers to steel plate with width greater than or equal to 600mm and thickness of 0.35-200mm and steel belt with thickness of 1.2-25mm.
Difference between hot and cold
The carbon content of hot rolled steel plate can be slightly higher than that of cold rolled steel plate. The density is the same when the composition is similar. However, if the composition is quite different, for example, the density of stainless steel, whether cold rolled or hot rolled, is about 7.9g/cm3. It also depends on the composition. The hot-rolled steel plate has better ductility, and the steel is also under pressure.
