Flanging forming process
Flanging is a stamping process in which the hole edge or outer edge on the blank is turned into a vertical edge by using a die, as shown in the left figure.
In the middle stage of round hole flanging, that is, before the material under the punch has been completely transferred to the side, if the deformation is stopped, the forming method shown in the right figure will be obtained. This forming method is called reaming, and it is also widely used in production.
