Annealing can be carried out between 1900 and 2500 ° f (it is recommended to carry out immediately after forging to maintain corrosion resistance). It should be cooled quickly. Thin metal strips can be air-cooled and thicker parts can be cooled with water to reduce the exposure of carbide precipitation areas.
