The term carbon steel pipe has a wide range and can be used to describe all kinds of metal pipe products with carbon as the main alloy element. Although many of the same manufacturing principles are applicable to carbon steel pipe and various similar alloy pipe products, the focus of our company will be on the manufacturing process of low carbon steel pipe products, which are commonly used for oil and gas, water conveyance, structural applications, general casing, piling and mechanical parts.
Our technology
According to the performance of the pipe mill and the final use of the final product, the castings will be formed into pipes by four different manufacturing methods:
----seamless
----resistance welding (ERW),
----double submerged arc welding (DSAW)
----spiral welding
Seamless carbon steel pipe Seamless carbon steel pipe, as its name implies, has no longitudinal weld. In essence, it is a strong and uniform piece of steel. A solid billet is simply heated and then stretched on a series of mandrels until the desired pipe diameter and wall thickness are reached. Usually, seamless carbon steel pipes with 14 inches and larger diameter are rolled from pipe shell, so as to enlarge the pipe diameter and reduce the pipe wall until the required size is reached. Dimensions with a diameter of less than 14 inches are usually stretched by a series of rollers to reduce the diameter and relatively increase the wall thickness. There is also a cold forming process for seamless pipe production, but this manufacturing process is usually only applicable to different alloys. Because there is no seam, seamless carbon steel pipes are usually used in high-pressure situations.
