Inconel alloy 686 is a single-phase austenitic alloy. With the increase of alloy (cr+mo+w) content, the resistance to general corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion increases.
Features of Inconel 686
1. It has good corrosion resistance of dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride gas
2. It has good resistance to the corrosion of reduction, oxidation and nitriding media
3. It has good stress corrosion cracking resistance at room temperature and high temperature
4. It has good creep fracture strength and is recommended to be used above 700℃
5.Excellent mechanical properties at sub-zero, room temperature and high temperature
